I am an ecological geneticist focused on how organisms have evolved and respond to environmental stressors. I use a combination of physiological, transcriptomic, and population genomic methods to investigate the mechanistic and evolutionary underpinnings of ecologically relevant traits. I'm especially interested in local adaptation and rapid adaptation to climate change.
I am a junior professor (similar to assistant professor in the US) at GEOMAR in Kiel, Germany. I am looking for graduate students, new collaborations, etc. Please get in touch if you're interested in joining the group or working together. Find more information about the group at GEOMAR here
Previously, I was a postdoc with Melissa Pespeni at the University of Vermont. During my Ph.D. at UC Davis, I worked with Andrew Whitehead on adaptation to salinity in killifish.
